The Pop Drop mixes everything I love about the world: being able to comment on anything and everything in the world of pop culture. First and foremost, I am a reformed theater kid turned theater reporter. Nothing makes me excited like sitting in front of a stage with my notebook. Second, film and art has shaped everything in my life (including almost making the mistake of becoming a film major before switching to journalism). If a piece of media comes out, chances are I have a take on it. Ask me about anything from foreign language films to trashy reality TV (my favorite in both being a Portrait of a Lady on Fire and Too Hot to Handle).

I have had the honor to write for the Grand Rapids Press, MLive, The State News, Her Campus, and South Bend Tribune, with clips featured in the Detroit News, Bridge Michigan and other local newspapers around Michigan.

This blog is American Theatre Guild approved for both reviewing and advanced interviews for nationally touring companies of Broadway shows.
